Amazon Prime Video's new TV series has surprised fans with a much older feel than they expected from the book adaptation. Receiving amazing reviews from viewers, the new Amazon Prime Video TV series is about 16 year-old-girl, Isabela or 'Belly', who finds herself in the middle of a love triangle with two brothers. But as many expected the new show to be quite PG, they found themselves shocked by how the story was transformed from book to TV, leaving it with a higher age rating then they thought. In fact, some viewers were left pleasantly surprised by the mature feeling it gave off. And what have viewers been saying?

My Rating:. Trigger warnings for a brief racial microaggression, panic attack, and frequent mentions of cancer and cancer treatments. He was too closed off to be a compelling romantic lead. Not only does this change beef up the plot, but it also gives the viewers character incite that the book often glosses over. I love that he gets a mentor in Cleveland to help him process his feelings. But I also wanted him to tell her how he felt because the poor boy was hurting. I love when individual character development becomes a source of drama. It makes the conflict feel genuine, less contrived, and harder to prevent. As the show continues, the plot focuses on her feelings about her potential death. She knows it could be her last.
This seems like content for an older audience.

Positive Role Models Belly is a kind-hearted and loving character who h. A teen romance book by author Jenny Han had many predicting a low age rating, however, Amazon Prime has recommended it's watched by those aged 16 and over. I feel like the main characters Belly learned a lot about herself and how to navigate through life. Note: spoilers are ahead. The main character is sweet and there is one boy that is a good role model but the rest of the cast seem pretty lost and messed up - not a good ratio. Drama TV for Teens. Lots of talk about boyfriends and girlfriends. Expect romance, dating, and broken hearts. It kept my attention, but I am an older adult and again, this should be rated 17 or older. Just watched an episode where the year-old gets almost blackout drunk in front of her family and her dad laughs it off with her and makes a joke about how her mom used to drink like that. I love when individual character development becomes a source of drama. Characters discuss having sex. It was really entertaining and a great chic-flick! Young men come to blows at parties; during one fight, a girl is accidentally hit in the face and has a bruise.
