To use it you highlight the text and press control-c twice. Not sure I would have chosen that key combination but you need to be of a certain age to appreciate the funny side. We use it extensively at work, where we have frequently updated content which needs to be presented in 5 languages, fast. We used to have it done by humans, then humans correcting a Google translate, and now Deepl. It has cut the time for that stage in our process from about 5 hours to 1 second.

I have in previous now deleted posts expressed the same desire. Think in principle it should be quick work to add another service provider with the authentication framework already being in place. I think an alternative well-performing translation service is well suited for our Discourse community. As such I have just reached out to Deepl pointing them to Discourse and this plugin. Being open source one of their developers working with the plugin devs would probably make quick work of adding another service provider. Hi, just had a real nice conversation with the DeepL folks. They are about to launch a new entry proposition with some free tier and the obvious restrictions. Should fit our use very nicely. But they can provide all the necessary documentation. I was wondering, how to lever the translation capabilities of deepl to create a multi-language app. Concerning the translation quality, there are ways to fine tune the deepl translations to your needs via the API- if I understand correctly. But, you need to solve problem what if someone change language times with yours fewe sentences… Or if you will have bigger traffic. In my case, initial traslate is fully managed by DeepL and responses are stored in JSON, if in future came new work position name, of them will be translated localy and just one new one be translated by DeepL - just once and will be included into existing dictionary. I mean, that's helpful with live, quick conversation, but difficult for longer and more meaningful conversation. As I said, your apprach was interesting so I started playing around. For example, you could build automatic translation into your customer support system. Still, anyway, a good app. Have you already implemented the connection of DeepL to your forum?
