This settings are relative only to the Bafang controllers integrated in their mid-drive units such as the BBSxx series. Most of the times the Bafang hub motors don't have these settings available, since they use different controllers such as Lishui, Kunteng, etc. If you are not familiar with the Bafang settings we recommend using Only live data for Bafang switch mode in Display settings page until you understand their functionality. Do not change profile by pressing M on display during this procedure. If you experience intermittent power cuts, it is most probably because you reach a speed limit or voltage cutoff.

You will find that for example, the first pedal-assist setting is way too powerful, or that the speed limits are just annoying. With the help of this guide, you can reprogram your system to better settings with my custom. You can also learn about all the settings and reprogram the system to your likings. Bafang throttle settings
The pedal assist power uses a cadence sensor and triggers once you move the pedals on your bike when your motor is on in PAS Level 1 or higher. All of our displays have the option to program , , or PAS Levels on your display. We always recommend changing the display to have 9 PAS Levels to have more incremental power and pedal-assist levels available.

I thought Id put this together, since many may find this handy. Programming your bafang motor controller is going to improve the efficiency and performance with your specific bike and battery by setting battery Low voltage cutoff, Max Current, wheel size, PAS settings, throttle, etc. Usually the stock bafang settings are overpowered and not smooth, especially for a new user.
