One thing that I love about k-dramas is when I get to have a glimpse of the food trends and scene in Korea. From local coffee shops to famous restaurants in and around Seoul, I can't help but wish that I can visit South Korea soon to fully experience the k-vibe and eat to my heart's delight. We went there for lunch with my university friends after we took our little ones to Dinosaur Island. Feeling famish and in the mood of anything cold as the weather was so warm, we were greeted by the beautiful and spacious interiors of Retro I tell you, I don't think we have cafes this big here in Metro Manila.

Does anyone know when Joe Allen's restaurant, I think it was on 6th st. Joe Allen was on 3rd and LaCienega. They had the best Cobb Salad. Thank you. Use to get Quiche and a salad. Great place. I grew up om the other side of the tracks in LA but seeing these pics brings back the same sweet times. Wow, that is quite the exhaustive collection of all of the highlights from the era that we all live through great job here. What a collection! And, so many memories

I love this site! And so loved Nate n Al's. I was a permanent fixture of that place, and lived right around the corner when I was a kid. Location: Noriter Chicken and Beer. BTW I thought your Dad was a great artist and loved his voice. I can't say that it was, so why does it call so strongly? Can still smell the place and feel those greasy paper menus. It's part of the entire City of Dreams compound too so it's connected to two other hotels namely -- Nobu Hotel and Hyatt Regency Manila. Whenever I think of visiting Tagaytay , this place immediately equates to relaxation, comfort and good food. What is that about? And the drinks are good also.

It was so great seeing all these photos again! I grew up in Mar Vista in the 70s What great pictures of my old haunts back in the 70s. LA was just so charming before So many of these photos brought back memories. Do you remember that boutique?! My family went all the time and I cant find photos of it. Moved to L. Remember meeting John Derek who had just married this beautiful young girl named Cathleen of whom he was taking photos and forcing her to not eat and do more exercise.
