All I know is that if one is living off of a US pension, things are getting better and better. Yes, it is a good time for people converting US to MX. Can't imagine it can last, but who knows. I don't know how things compare Lakeside or Guad, but when I was appliance shopping several years ago for my new house, Tio Sam's in PV was several hundred pesos more for stoves, fridges, and washers than smaller family-owned businesses for exactly the same items. I agree that US expats are doing well.
