I am trying to excel disable double click jump off the extremely annoying jump "feature" in Excel, where the focus jumps to distant cells whenever the cell border is accidentally double-clicked. I can see that many people have been asking about how to fix this issue for over ten years, with no improvements to the software and some suggested workarounds which don't seem appropriate for my workflow.

When you double click on a border of a selected cell, you go to the end of the list depending on which side of the selected cell you double clicked on. How do you disable this? I would be done by now, but double clicking a cell border jumps me to the top or bottom. Having just tested several sheets I am unable to replicate your issue with double click. February 13, Ask a new question. Just writing to complain about this feature. People had issues with this back in and it still hasn't been fixed. Double-clicking on a cell slightly incorrectly causes excel to jump to the bottom of the sheet. This is very annoying when zoomed far out dealing with large amounts of data. FYI I know that I can untick the 'Enable fill handle and cell drag-and-drop' option, but this has knock-on effects when editing data.
