Flutterbye fairy troubleshooting

Spin Master, the toy company behind the creation of the popular Air Hogs flying toys brand, has always been interested in discovering news ways to introduce fun electronic adventure toys for kids. FlutterBye is designed to fly upwards and hover above the extended hand of a child as the flying fairy moves across an open room. In essence, FlutterBye had the potential to be a fantastic toy. In conjunction with one of CuteMonster Headquarters toy experts aka my 5 year old daughter, flutterbye fairy troubleshooting, we put FlutterBye through the flutterbye fairy troubleshooting.

The defect with this toy is cheap design. What is happening is the weights at the waist are support to spin, and lift the top set wings. This causes it to take off. There is a little plastic piece inside shaped like an 8. One side of the 8 is attached to a small round ball attached to the weights the round ball snaps into the top loop of the 8 and the other side of the 8 is attached to a plastic ball to the top wings. When off the weights hang down and so do the wings.

It is pink which gets a thumbs up straight away. Inside the box is the flying fairy, the base charger and instructions. I had a look at the instructions and added the batteries, it does require 6 x AA batteries that are not included. Following the instructions I switched the charger unit on plugged the charging cord into the fairy and waited for it to charge. I is easy to tell if the fairy is charging correctly or fully charged as the instructions state what colour light for different things. Once the fairy was charged we took out the charging cord and switched the fairy on. We put the charging unit onto the floor and then pressed the button.
