I wanted to show you my Halloween costume — I dressed up as the Bride of Frankenstein! Since moving here my Halloween celebration has consisted of buying a package of Snickers for possible trick-or-treaters, then eating them all because no one comes. But this year I was working as a bartender at a huge Halloween party, and employees were allowed to wear costumes instead of our regular uniforms! I threw this costume together from an oversized blouse and kitchen curtains I picked up at a thrift store. I put the blouse on backwards, cut off the sleeves and collar, and whipstitched the armholes tighter because they were too open on the sides. Then I sewed the lace curtains onto the hem, and my bride of Frankenstein costume was ready to go. The only thing I forgot was to add a hook at the top of the button placket.
