FSW Alerts is the official emergency notification system used to communicate with students and employees during campus emergencies. FSW Alerts is a licensed service we pay for to offer the quickest and most reliable communications possible. This system is used only during campus emergencies that pose a safety concern for the community. Emergencies are considered any event that poses a safety risk to the campus community. For example, the most common use of FSW Alerts will be to communicate when a specific college campus is under an emergency weather warning. Other types of emergencies may include unexpected occurrences such as police activity or power outages, or any unexpected event that poses danger or puts your safety at risk such as an active shooter threat. Text messages sent from FSW Alerts are sent using something called short codes.
