Warning: This story contains major spoilers from the season finale of The Blacklist. Read at your own risk. After four seasons of wondering, The Blacklist season finale confirmed what—let's be honest—most fans have suspected from the beginning about Raymond Reddington's James Spader relation to Liz Keen Megan Boone : He's her father! During the finale, Cooper Harry Lennix decided to settle the debate once and for all by using a blood sample locked up in evidence from a mission decades prior that Red worked before turning into a criminal mastermind. The blood test confirmed that Raymond Reddington is, in fact, Liz's father, but is the man we've come to know over the last four seasons actually Raymond Reddington? Kaplan Susan Blommaert unearthed that are now en route to Liz, much to Red's chagrin. Odds are the bones belong to Liz's presumed-dead mother Katarina Lotte Verbeek , but Bokenkamp doesn't balk at the suggestion they could belong to, say, the real Red, and that this Red is someone else entirely. After all, the DNA results proving Red's parentage come from a decades-old sample that is not necessarily from the man we know now. What's really going on here? Bokenkamp teases what's in store for season 5. Read our postmortem with Megan Boone.

Well, kind of. We were left with some big clues as to who assumed the Red persona and became the character played by James Spader, but we got no outright answer, because Townsend stormed the epicenter and shot Liz before she could get the conclusion to the story. The penultimate episode concluded with Red pressing a button that put the entire epicenter of his intelligence up in flames, both killing Townsend and destroying his decades of collected intelligence. He shows her a letter from her mother, promising that it will answer all her questions once the plan is complete. Unfortunately for Liz and for viewers hoping for concrete answers, she never gets a chance to read the letter and find out the full truth.
The show has run for nine seasons all receiving positive reviews. He brings two conditions to the table — first, he will help them track other wanted criminals in exchange for immunity. When Liz was only four, her mother shot Reddington while he was attacking Katarina, and then a fire broke out. Then who is Raymond Reddington now? Well, it would be interesting only if there were more theories on who is Raymond Reddington, is he alive or dead? There are two possible theories of who Reddington is. The first is that he is actually alive and faked his own death, but it is impossible to survive a gunshot like that. There is another interesting, yet distorted theory.

The Blacklist had a lot of fun teasing the answer to the series' one lingering question, but did it ever reveal who is Raymond Reddington? Red offered to help them track down other wanted criminals that he had compiled on his own "blacklist. The Blacklist ran for 10 seasons and ended on its own terms. When Liz died in season 8 , it seemed that the biggest puzzle in the series might remain unanswered. The primary question for much of The Blacklist has been who exactly is Raymond Reddington, with the biggest clues suggesting that he was Liz's father. Red took the FBI and Liz on a wild goose chase before, and it was no different when it comes to the mysterious character's identity. The Blacklist positively reveled in shocking twists and reveals, and that played out the same in its final season. In the finale, Red might have finally answered that one big question. The Blacklist 's real Raymond Reddington was in a relationship with Liz's mother Katarina Rostova, who was really a KGB agent sent to seduce and enter into a relationship with him. When Liz was only four, she shot Reddington while he was attacking Katarina, and then a fire broke out.

When Maltz is reticent about divulging any information, Liz says that she is an agent of the FBI and threatens to have his office raided. The news is out there in a closed grand jury investigation, which is containable. Just as Liz about to leave for work, Tom tells her that he has a job interview in Lincoln, Nebraska that day. After Tom contacts Liz from the train station, they decide to meet at their house. Furthermore, he will kill both of his employers in the event of a double cross. There are characters still alive on The Blacklist who could learn the truth, but it won't have the same impact as when Elizabeth was alive. Liz and Tom Keen were approached by a Metropolitan Police Department of the District of Columbia officer regarding Jolene's disappearance, only to reply with Tom's fabricated story used the previous day. When she arrives home she says to Tom that they need to talk. But it's a blast seeing it come together, and it's also a lot of fun to read comments and threads and tweets and see the theories, because there's a lot of them, and they're really a blast to read. Eventually arriving at Reddington's, where she tells him about what happened.
The question of whether Raymond Reddington is Elizabeth Keen's father has existed for as long as The Blacklist has existed. For a long time, it was the driving mystery of the series, until eventually, that concentrated question became diluted by multiple storylines suggesting maybe he was, maybe he wasn't, or maybe the answer was something more complicated altogether.
Liz escapes as they are taking the tracking chip out of Red's neck. Elizabeth is a young Caucasian woman, standing at around 5 foot 7 inch tall, weighing approximately pounds, and having a slim build. When Red comes out of the box Anslo tells his people bring Liz with them. Red has an escape plan with that island. When Liz was only four, she shot Reddington while he was attacking Katarina, and then a fire broke out. Understanding of Harrison's plight, Liz appeals to Harrison's decency in order to make things right. We didn't even get to find out who he is although it's kinda obvious now. After Tom contacts Liz from the train station, they decide to meet at their house. She then returns to question Red, and he tells them about two more gang members, who he can trace in return for better conditions. I can't believe I've watched Blacklist for 8 seasons and Liz never found out who Red is. Liz and Donald Ressler go to Gina's hotel room and while she checks the body, Ressler heads downstairs. That suitcase is packed full of nothing but problems for Reddington. Kaplan episode was certainly an episode that had a lot of big moves in it. While Seth is being loaded onto the ambulance Ressler tells her that she saved that kids life, and that she did a good job. In their first conversation Red shows how much he knows about her, and tells her that Beth Ryker is going to be kidnapped by Ranko Zamani.
