One of my favourite things about this show is how the foundation for everything we see in until Shyam finally leaves is laid out in the first 20 or so episodes. Watch the episode here. Find all the recaps here. The guest look around anxiously, as if the six-foot man might be hiding somewhere in the crowd, and smile when they spot him approaching from another part of the house. He walks right up to Aakash, refusing to make eye contact with anyone - not Nani, not his sister, and certainly not Khushi Kumari Gupta - and somehow, his grim countenance goes unnoticed by everyone except for the aforementioned lady in blue and red. Arnav takes his place next to Aakash, not looking at either of them but flicking his eyes towards Payal twice.
