The Lindau train station is located directly on the island and thus in the heart of the city. It is only a few metres from the train door to the harbour — the idyllic train ride along the shore is followed by a spectacular view of the lake and the Austrian and Swiss mountains. Connections to the surrounding area are very good, same as the connections to major cities. A boat trip is probably the best way to get from one place to another while enjoying wonderful views.
