Fabulous hospital. Great medical and support staff Disgusting neglect and smiles from nurses as they watch you in pain and make rude comments in the back room. I patienly waited for over 4 hours. After having to come in a second time with an extremely bad sprain and tear in my ligaments.

If you are visiting one of our outpatient clinics for a non-urgent issue but are feeling sick, please call the clinic directly and rebook your appointment for when you are well. If you have an urgent health concern, such as difficulty breathing or chest pain, never delay seeking care. Family is welcome 12 noon - p. Special requests can be made to the charge nurse. Please limit the number of visitors at any one time for the comfort of yourself and your roommate. Anyone who has an infectious illness such as a respiratory infection, tuberculosis, German measles, chicken pox, or a skin infection must not visit the hospital. Please ask your family and friends to respect these visiting hours as you need quiet time to recover from birth and begin to learn about your baby.

We recognize the importance for many Indigenous people to gather around loved ones in times of illness, healing and while receiving care. Comfortable spaces are provided within each facility, and where possible spaces are also available for spiritual and cultural healing practices. The sacred space is located on the main level of the HOpe Centre. The space incorporates elements of water, cedar, stone and earth to reflect a Coast Salish Longhouse. This space is open to Lions Gate Hospital patients and families. The room can be used for prayer, meditation, and spiritual ceremonies, including drumming, smudging and ceremonial use of medicines. This space can accommodate approximately 35 people.
