When I decided to get a tattoo, there was no question in my mind what I wanted: a Nataraja tattoo. When I was first introduced to the concept of yoga, I was immediately drawn to the image of the Nataraja. It is a reminder to me that life is a dance and we should all enjoy the ride. Nataraja is a Hindu deity that represents the cosmic dancer who dances the cycle of creation and destruction. For me, this tattoo represents the continuous cycle of life and death that we all experience. It is a reminder that everything is temporary and that we must enjoy every moment while it lasts. It also reminds me of the importance of balance in our lives. We must find a balance between our light and dark sides, our masculine and feminine energies, in order to lead a harmonious life.
