Oddball music ball review

With ODD Ball, making music quite literally becomes as easy as bouncing a ball. Pick any sound from an expansive audio oddball music ball review of drums, keys, guitars and effects from any genre, play over your favourite artists and tracks, loop and make beats, sing on top of your tunes and finally share and create tracks with your friends.

This is a game played with a ball, but this ball can hook itself up to your phone and you can make music with it. Bounce the Oddball and your phone will find it straight away, and from there you can add it to your app as an input and off you go. These are the different effects that you can link to the Oddball, using them to construct a track. These then appear at the top of the recording screen, and you can scroll through them to select one. The app then is a multitracker, and you can layer track upon track as you construct your song. That last one is currently my biggest quibble — you can put loads of work into something only to lose it all in the mix as everything is cranked up to the max.

The latency on the return measured under 30ms when paired with the app, and not appreciably more when paired with a DAW digital audio workstation. The trigger pads are velocity sensitive and returned an appreciably accurate range of 1— on different bounces on the sensitive touch mode.

By Dani Deahl. A Kickstarter project called Oddball aims to put a new spin on making music. The idea with Oddball is that a sound can be assigned to it, and then that sound is played whenever the ball is bounced. Sensors inside the ball communicate with the app via Bluetooth, and then the sound plays through your phone speakers, headphones, or wherever else you assign it. The app is designed to help you use Oddball as a functional drum machine of sorts, instead of just an object that makes noise upon impact.
