WHEREAS, the City of Santee, pursuant to Government Code sections a and b , may by ordinance require or provide for the removal from sidewalks, parking, streets, property, lands, or lots of all weeds, rubbish, or other material dangerous or injurious to neighboring property or the health or welfare of residents of the vicinity; and. The abatement work may be done by city crews or by private contractor. A report of the abatement proceedings and an accurate account of the charges for abating the nuisance on each separate property shall be filed with the Santee City Council. The City Clerk shall thereupon set the cost report and account for approval by the Santee City Council at the first regular or adjourned regular meeting, which will be held at least seven 7 calendar days after the date of filing, and shall post a copy of the report and account and notice of the time, date and place of approval in a conspicuous place at or near the entrance of the council chambers in the city office.
