The location is missing a window, however, it provides excellent privacy due to facing inward and is ideal for solo travelers. While the legroom is good, it is more than offset by the bumping. I'm only 5'9" and when I recline me knees are pressed against the seat in front of me. Seat 39 J is a standard Economy Class seat however, the proximity to the lavatories and galleys may be bothersome. In the middle section, there are 3 places for 4 people to stow items under the seat in front of them. American's seating configuration is the best across the Atlantic, far better than the cramped BA ying-yang, face your neighbor layout. That said it was another excellent product from American and at regular Coach price it was a good deal. Seating reminiscent of Domestic First Class. If you are over 6'2" it will be a nightmare flight overseas. My seat was very comfortable with plenty of room and plenty of seat position options. On flight home we upgraded to MCE and those seats were much more comfy.

Seat 52 A is a standard Economy Class seat in the last row of the aircraft that may have limited recline. However, the proximity to the lavatories may be bothersome. Had no trouble with the angle of the media screen. Add in the reduced overhead storage in the vicinity and these are pretty bad seats. To put my head against the headrest I had had to tilt my head 90 degrees, which makes it impossible to sleep. Flight attendants did a very professional job both ways. I would not however pay the extra for a middle seat. The forward business class mini-cabin feels very private. Wi-Fi service is availble, depending on route, to all personal portable devices. Tremendous seat, unbelievable service, and fantastic privacy for a biz class seat. However what really spoiled this flight for me was a huge cold breeze that persisted throughout. Massage function was lackluster. In my opinion, the best food on board is served by Air India and Turkish Airlines. Compared to BA and Virgin Atlantic, AA still needs to "get it" about privacy can't they install a curtain or something? Also note the front row don't allow you to have your personal items under the seat rest weird thing with these planes so again more stowage issues.
