Post by GearheadLydia » Tue Oct 31, am I'm having a problem with a particular Plumbot in my game where I can't have a Sim adjust their trait chips because the game reaches an error whenever I open the screen. Can anyone help me with this? Error log excerpt: System. NullReferenceException: A null value was found where an object instance was required.

January - last edited January If i go to the future with my plumbot or only my plumbot i get lost trait 3 trait chips. Unfortunatelly i got message i can't add new cause i don't have bot build skill. But i get maxed this skill. If i back to normal world i can just add those chips but if i go ot the future they dissapear everytime. I unistall all mods.

Each trait chip is placed into one of four hidden categories: ability, skill, service, and social. Different trait chips have different effects on Plumbots. Plumbots may have 3 to 7 slots depending on their quality level, and can be upgraded to have more trait chip slots. Slots can be left empty, and trait chips can be removed and replaced at any time, though there is a chance that removing a trait chip will damage it. Sims are able to buy trait chips from the bot emporium in Oasis Landing. Designing a trait chip increases the Bot Building skill. Sims can also buy the Trait Chip Bundle for 10, lifetime happiness points. Sims can also design and create trait chips with Reventlov's Bot Workshop. Creating a trait chips requires a certain level of Bot Building skill as well as the components needed to create it.

Without trait chips Plumbots are just plain old robots. If you equip a Plumbot with a trait chip they get a lot more immersive. Using trait chips they can gain more social interactions, project a Sim from another timeline and much more! You can always add or remove trait chips if necessary. All Plumbots also have a quality level determined by the Bot Building Skill of their creator. Plumbots of a higher quality will have their maintenance and battery power drain at a slower rate. In addition, they will be more valuable should your Sim decide to sell them. Sims with a higher bot building skill can improve the quality of Plumbots with Tune Ups. Plumbots can earn a maximum of 10 points for quality. In the chart below you can find a summary with the different trait chips.
