SNAP strives to maintain older adults as viable community residents and to assist them in aging with dignity and independence thereby preventing premature institutionalization. All meals are prepared fresh each day, in our own kitchen, under the nutritional guidelines set forth by the New York City Department for the Aging. The meals are delivered in specially equipped Hot Shot vehicles that contain ovens to maintain the temperature of the heated food and refrigerators that keep the cold food cool in even the hottest weather. Meals are also available for Saturdays and Sundays. Meals come in convenient compartment trays sealed in plastic.
