Exhibition statement My artistic practice is devoted to exploring my daily life and experiences through narrative driven scenes greatly informed by my personal spiritual practices and great interest in the occult. Influenced heavily by Mexican surrealism, I utilize occult iconography and theology as a tool to create my own visual language with which I can explore and process the many different areas of my life. The intention being that a viewer is left clues to the complete story of the pieces whilst being allowed the freedom to interpret the visual representations of these experiences in a way that makes sense to them. The pieces shown here come in the form of two acrylic paintings and a book composed of twelve smaller drawings. The paintings explore the two most pivotal relationships in my life right now, one familial and comfortable and the other romantic and sexual. Both pieces capture integral moments of change and development in these relationships and were made to process them through the use of occultist imagery and symbolism. The acrylic paint pen drawings that comprise the book have been in creation since September and, for me, act as a road map of my life experiences since then.

Crowley was brilliant at chess and wrote a chess column in the Eastbourne Gazette. He beat the local champion every time and won all his club tournaments except two against a Mr Martin who refused to play his games.
