In Pas de la Casa and Grau Roig though, the snow conditions are excellent despite the weather; we had a couple of centimetres of fresh snow overnight and the fresh powder was absolutely delightful to ski on! Our favourite slope this week was the Fletxa blue run.

The conditions on the slopes are pretty good even though the last significant snowfall was around two weeks ago. They had their own wood-fired pizza oven so the pizzas here are a must, but as their own name states Burgers are terrific too! We discovered a new run today, which was our favourite! Meanwhile, the combination of bright light and thick cloud casted a flat white light on the slopes, making it difficult to judge the terrain ahead. The conditions today have been typically Spring-like, characterised by soft, slushy snow and mild temperatures. Tuesday night we received some precipitation down here in the village and it wasn't quite cold enough for it to snow up the mountain, resulting in some icy conditions the next morning. There were slopes open in Grandvalira, so we woke up early to ski them all! Meanwhile, the snow on the red Directa run in Pas de la Casa felt good all round but the lack of visibility meant it was necessary to ride the piste with caution. My favourite run this week was Piste Larga which is always in great condition. Today, we woke up with another spring day on the slopes of Pas de la Casa.

There is a hidden draglift that takes you to the Isards blue run. It was recommended to cover up every part of your face to avoid freezing while skiing down though. It was a really nice, quiet day on the slopes which gave me plenty of opportunity to practice my technical skills in a relaxed environment. The slopes are really quiet at the moment and it was great to play around on the fresh powder both on and off piste. Throughout Pas de la Casa and Grau Roig the slopes were in great condition, with fresh, powdery snow making for some lovely runs. The snow conditions were flawless, with lots of soft, fast, fresh powder both on and off the pistes. Get help. This has resulted in a slushy consistency for much of the snow, with certain areas becoming hard-packed due to the absence of natural snowfall. Even a few days after the snowfall, the ride down to the road was fantastic as we weaved our way down the mountain, leaving fresh lines in the soft snow. My favourite run of the day was the red Pista Llarga which runs all the way down from the top of the Font Negre chairlift into Grau Roig. However, the pistes were still really enjoyable and there was ample opportunity to practice carving!
