Cannot put housing items on wooden loft but others can I have seen many residents and apartments where people used the wooden loft housing item to make a loft and they have furniture on the loft. It does not matter what I try to place, it always shows the purple "cannot place" color and it will not place. Other people have all kinds of things on their lofts in their apartments but for some reason, I am not allowed to put things on the loft. All those things that I have mentioned, I have seen others with those housing items on their loft, but I am not allowed to put them on mine. I have stairs leading to the loft and I tried placing things while standing in every position possible both on and off the loft. Does anybody know what the problem could be?

A particularly popular trick with designers is to float partitions up from the floor below to create anything from custom kitchens to windows, fireplaces, and more. Instead, what you can do is use a partition and a wooden beam to sink wall-mounted items into the floor, giving you some of the same building flexibility even without a basement. For example, a lowered ceiling could also be a floor for another level, or a wall could also be a divider for another room. If you need some inspiration, I highly recommend checking out photos and shows about tiny homes; they always have wild combinations of furniture and features that can give you ideas for your apartment. Apartments are really limited in terms of their size, so my favourite trick to make them feel bigger is to emphasize their vertical space. Because of the way the cameras work in FFXIV, rooms are tall enough to build a second floor—and doing this at least in part of your apartment will make the rest of the room feel much taller.
